How do I setup Raid 0?
Go to solution
Solved by Virgule,
In more details, you have to :
1- Backup any data you need to backup;
2- Power down system and make sure both drives are connected via SATA cable to 2 ports (on your motherboard) that share the same raid controller;
3- Boot up, enter bios and choose "RAID" under SATA MODE in the peripheral options of the correct BIOS section;
4- Reboot and hit Ctrl+i (should be before bios popup screen) to enter intel's raid configuration;
5- Choose the raid mode you want (i.e. 0), choose the 2 drives you want to pair (must be similar to avoid future errors, and must be raid compatible) and accept the partition creation (this will wipe the drives);
6- Reboot and install windows on the raid 0 partition you created;
7- Install Intel's raid drivers;
8- ...
9- Profit.
