I'm an idiot and I have no idea how to fix this. If anybody could help me it would be lovely.

The mirrored volume was on Windows Server 2012. If a person that can help me would use Skype, Telegram or something to chat it would be great.

If it only was that simple... The other drive was fucked up (messing around in Esxi). It was when I was trying to mirror that drive again that I fucked up but I am pretty sure on that nothing is overwritten.

The data is still there, but now the computer probably sees it as two identical drives. You cannot recreate the mirrored drive without it deleting all the data.

The easiest way to fix: (this is considering you are using a hardware RAID)

  1. Plug in one of the mirrored drives and an empty spare drive that will not be used in the mirror.
  2. Copy all the data over.
  3. Remove your spare drive completely from the system (helps prevent accidental deletions).
  4. Put both of your original drives back in and recreate the mirrored RAID1.
  5. Put your spare drive back into the system and copy the data to the RAID1.

If it is possible to recreate a mirror without deleting the drives, please enlighten us.

I must be missing something, you used hardware RAID 1 or some Microsoft OS scheme? Because with RAID 1 you just tell the controller rebuild from this to that drive and you're done.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I was using the mirror drive feature in Windows. I don't see the need for HW RAID, but I just realised that cloud backup aint a stupid idea :)
