corsair link problems....

Go to solution Solved by adriel604,

This exact same thing happened to me too recently.  It just decided to not show any of my fans anymore for me to adjust.  After numerous re-installs it still was not working.

What I ended up doing was uninstalling it altogether and going with a fan controller instead.

My computer boots twice as fast now and I can easily control all my fans.  I hate Corsair Link.  I feel like Corsair has put this on the shelf and they have no more plans to update it .. I actually regret buying an h100i now.  I wish I got the h220 instead :(

Hey guys i could use some help, corsair link has decided to go crap itself and i have tried reinstalling it doesnt want to work anyways below is my problem:

a few notes:

My fans are still running and so is the pump

also the USB plug is properly plugged in

im running windows 8.1 (which i think might be the problem)

if anyone knows the solution that would be amazing if you could help!!

Its just a Link problem, some people have been able to get it working temporarily by reinstalling and if you just leave it youll find that it sometimes works. I called Corsair and they basically said RMA your unit and you know what. That didnt do a thing. Also i probably need to specify its a problem between Link and Windows 8 in particular.

I just set up a fan profile in my BIOS. Both the front intake and the two top ones scale from 50-100% from 45-65oC So that i never have negative pressure and the great thing about BIOS fan control is that you can be running Hackintosh or Linux even windows and not have to worry about starting a program or adjusting a knob when you think your processor is hot.

If you mess around with plugging in and unplugging and quitting the software and starting the software eventually it will run. When ever i want to change the light on mine thats what i have to do.

lol I only used corsair link to change my LED as well. Now it's just at blue.

When you've exhausted your options look into a fan controller :)
